Titans Release 09' Schedule, And It's Not Pretty.....

The Titans will not have much time to get things right once the season starts on September 10th.

The first eight games on the schedule all feature teams with playoff potential, starting with the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.

The two divisions the Titans are matched up against, besides their own divisional opponents in the AFC South, are the NFC West and the AFC East.

The NFC West is definitely the NFL's weakest division, but those four games don't come till the second half of the season.

On the other hand, the AFC East is one of the NFL's elite divisions. All four AFC East teams you can make a reasonable case for going to the playoffs next season.

Overall the Titans have some of the toughest road games you can get stuck with, having trips to Pittsburgh, New England, Indianapolis, and New York Jets.

Some other solid teams that are making trips to Nashville are the Cardinals, Chargers, and Dolphins.

The schedule leaves the opportunity to end strong but to start off horrible. Maybe that could be a blessing in disguise considering that historically the Titans start off strong and finish weak.

We've seen it some many times where a team gets hot down the stretch and makes a Super Bowl run. The Titans and their loyal fans still have that to hold onto so don't jump ship just yet.

One more thing to remember is this: If the Titans do have another 12-13 win season, analysts and opposing fans alike will have NO EXCUSES to say the Titans are overrated like last season. That's for damn sure!
