Passionate Fans Won't See Their Teams on Sunday

On Sunday thousands of dedicated Raiders and Lions fans won't be able to watch their teams play football. The NFL has will blackout the games in the local markets.

For some of these fans football is all they really have. The NFL may be a business, but this is just wrong.

I understand that teams want their fans to buy the tickets, but with the economy the way it is right now, there should be some sympathy for these hard working fans.

Even though both the Raiders and the Lions are very bad teams, I guarantee you there are some great fans out there who won't get to see their team play this weekend. To add onto that, I also guarantee that most of those fans would buy tickets if their financial situation would allow it.

The NFL should show some sympathy to the thousands of fans who have most likely bought NFL merchandise in the past and attended games in the past. You owe at least that much to the fans.
